Back On Track

We swept the A's in our first series in the Post-Manny era.

Our pitching kept us in the game in game 1 as we won 2-1 in 12 innings. Jason Bay, our Manny replacement scored both runs. Our bullpen was the story as they went 5.2 innings, gave up just 3 hits and 1 run. If our pitching continues like this we should have no problems.

Game 2 we won 12-2 as we jumped out to an early lead scoring 5 runs in the first and 4 more in the third. Bay hit a three run home run in the first and Lester went 7 innings giving up only 2 runs, both of which came in the first inning. Youk and Lowrie both came up big in fact Youk had 2 home runs, both 2 run shots.

Game 3 we won 5-2 as Bay again scored 2 runs. Our bullpen went 3 innings of one hit ball and DiceK went 6 innings striking out 8 and giving up just 2 runs.

Now, what should be an easy series against Kansas City...
